Electric bikes (e-bikes) are a new and emerging type of transportation in cities. An electric bike, or eBike for short, is simply a regular bicycle with a battery and an uester (electric assist) motor that helps you go faster. E-bikes are considered to be green modes of transportation as they cancel out using a car or bus.
E-bikes are smaller in size so they can slip through traffic, this makes for a hassle free and efficient city ride. Increasing e-bike usage has led many cities to improve biking infrastructure - including creating more separated bike lanes and paths that make it easier for people not just have an easy safe ride but cycle in the first place.
Aside from the obvious advantages of skirting rush-hour snarls and cutting down on air pollution, e-bikes can also serve as a frugal way to get back and forth. They are as cost effective to purchase relative to cars, they also eliminate an entire gas expense altogether: a sell point for anyone interested in finding human-powered sustainable transportation solutions.
It is also something that businesses...are starting to see value from, giving e-bikes which look good aesthetically as well (I personally believe the bike companies are doing a fantastic job). The campaign does not only serve as a way to ease traffic congestion, it also aims towards lessening the occurence of carbon coming out into the air due to limitation in driving cars.
At the end of it e-bikes have been instrumental in changing how we view urban mobility, by presenting an affordable and effective way that aligns with our growing focus on sustainably conscious choices. The continuous transformation of urban transportation to accommodate the use of e-bikes has grown, and looking at their advantages with on-going infrastructure development shows how crucial they have become in city travel for years ahead.
